Financial Analysts ensure that Infineon makes sound financial decisions and effectively manages its portfolio of R&D projects. In this role, your work, whether it's creating relevant financial analysis or managing all aspects of R&D cost controlling, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. You will work directly with our R&D Heads, Project Managers and Product-line Heads and provide full financial support.

In your new job you will:

  • Be responsible for the overall financial controlling of R&D spending and act as a business partner to our R&D management
  • Support the global R&D organization, especially the program & project management team in the planning and execution of R&D projects
  • Collaborate with the diverse global business unit teams to increase transparency of actual vs forecast spending as well as milestone achievement on a project level
  • Define, create and present R&D dashboards with financial summaries and business insights to the leadership team to help understand the drivers of financial performance
  • Support a high quality and reliable financial forecast and long-term planning with underlying data analytics, in close cooperation with the head of financial controlling, to ensure optimum operations effectiveness
  • Conduct internal and external benchmarks to identify areas for further improvement
  • Perform all relevant financial controlling tasks including monthly and quarterly closing activities
  • Develop scalable and efficient financial processes to support different business needs and models

You are self-motivated and have a strong capability to independently leverage and drive our R&D controlling. You are proactive and a fast learner with strong work ethics who is passionate about driving the growth and evolution of the DCDC business. As a master juggler working on multiple topics at a time, you are focused on details while finding efficient ways to take on big picture challenges. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills lead to effective collaboration across different locations, cultures and time zones.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • An academic degree in Finance, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent
  • 2+ years of work experience in the field of business analytics
  • Strong understanding of data collection, aggregation and summarization to enable best practices for decision making
  • Hands-on experience in creating visualizations to aid in understanding data
  • Knowledge about ERP applications comprising SAP (or equivalent) and demonstrated ability to quickly learn internal business intelligence systems
  • Data analytics skills (i.e. Power BI, R, or Python) and basic accounting skills (e.g. capitalization under IFRS) are preferred
  • Excellent English skills, additional German skills or the willingness to learn is a plus
We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. When staffed in Austria, this position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2022.pdf). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
